PATTERN | SUNLINE CARDIGAN

The lightweight, pure linen SUNLINE CARDIGAN is worked from the top down in one piece. The stockinette background color is broken up by contrasting stripes in a slipped-stitch pattern. You work the button and buttonhole bands directly onto the body of the cardigan and add afterthought buttonholes at the end. After working a doubled collar, the neck opening is shaped using short rows, followed by increases on both sides of the narrow raglan lines. You work the sleeves in the round, incorporating decreases as you go. Please bear in mind that the linen material will stretch approx. 10% in length after washing, so it is especially important to work and wash a gauge swatch before you begin!

The sizes correspond to the bust circumference as follows:

The cardigan has a relaxed fit with approximately 3.5–5.5“ (9–14 cm) of positive ease.

Example: if your bust measurement is 35“ (90 cm), make the cardigan in size M; it will have a comfortable fit with 3.9“ (10 cm) of positive ease.
